Should I invite my boyfriend to go to the beach with my family?

We broke up around the end of the school year, but got back together like a month later. No one knows we're back together, not even my parents. I really want him to come to the beach with my family in a few weeks, for one week. I need to ask my dad though, and I don't want to cause drama. How should I do this? Or should I not invite him at all?
