Why the hell did they remake Arthur?

I was kinda thinking the same thing. I just saw the original Aurthur for the first time the other day. I absolutely fell in love with Dudley Moore! How can they remake the movie without the drinking!? It may surprise me....but you won't see me running out to watch it.
