What are side affects for an ear infection?

okay my daughter has an ear infection she is 3 years old and she has runny nose high Temperature water eyes cough the thing is my daughters had ear infections in the past but i never recall them having these sid affects with it like i dnt remember that an ear infection can cause these symptoms as well but doc says they do so im not sure i know he says they DO that means they should but i dont remember it ever happened to them like this from before
