Windows Mail drama...?

Ok, so I created a windows mail account to go with my yahoo mail account. BUT all my emails from the yahoo website do not show up there, so that means i cant check my email from online using a different computer. Therefore, I dont want to use windows mail. After looking online, I found a way to "remove" my account. I went to tools, then accounts, then selected my account and hit remove. Nothing happened. My emails are still in windows mail, not the yahoo website AND now under accounts, it says I dont have any?!??!? now what??!!?! I need help ASAP. thanks
